Hotel in Florence
Florence is the capital city of Tuscany. Known as the “cradle of Renaissance” for its beautiful buildings, Florence isn't very big and every monument is reachable on foot.
Must go places in Florence are the Duomo, its Campanile (bellfry) and its Baptistery. Both the Duomo and the Bellfry are open to public and offer great views. Don’t miss a visit to the Ponte Vecchio (old bridge) and to the Michelangelo's David sculpture (Gallery of the Academy). If you’re spending enough time in Florence, pay a visit to Uffizi or at least choose certain rooms: e.g. Michelangelo or Leonardo.
If you’re going to Florence Italy, you may plan to spend a few days in a Venice hotel as well. To go from Florence to Venice by train it takes about 2.40 hours. Travelling by train in Italy allows you to enjoy of many beautiful views and landscapes. Keep in mind train travel in Italy is reasonably cheap. Train timetables avaiable here.
